CV Autofill is a browser extension that helps users autofill job application forms using CV information they provide.

1. Data We Process

When you use the extension, it may process data you enter or import, including:

• Name, email, phone number, address, links, and profile details
• Education and work experience information
• Resume file data (for example, imported PDF text and file content)
• Optional cover letter text

2. Where Data Is Stored

Your data is stored locally in your browser using extension storage (chrome.storage.local).

3. Data Sharing and Transfers

CV Autofill does not sell your personal data and does not send your CV data to our servers because the extension does not use a backend server.

Data is used only inside your browser to fill forms on pages where you trigger autofill.

4. Permissions Usage

• storage: save your profile and autofill settings locally
• scripting: inject autofill scripts when you click autofill
• activeTab: access the currently active tab after user action

5. Analytics and Tracking

CV Autofill does not include analytics, advertising trackers, or hidden telemetry.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Data remains in your browser until you edit or delete it. You can remove stored data at any time from the extension UI (for example, deleting a stored resume) or by removing the extension and clearing its storage.

7. Third-Party Libraries

CV Autofill includes pdf.js to parse resume PDF files locally in the browser.

8. Children’s Privacy

CV Autofill is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
